New Board Swearing-In + Presentation: Hiring High Volume Security Operations / Proprietary vs Contract Security

The meeting presentation, “Standing on Hire Ground,” will be led by Brian King, Facility Security Officer (FSO) at Riverside Research. With over a decade of experience in security operations, government compliance, and roles at AlliedBarton and Raytheon BBN Technologies, Brian will share valuable insights on hiring for high-volume security operations and the considerations between proprietary and contract security. SPEAKER - BRIAN KING
Brian King is the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the Riverside Research office in Lexington, Massachusetts. His specialties include physical security, information security, training, and government compliance.
He started his career with AlliedBarton in 2013, serving in operations and management positions. His primary sectors were defense and government services. After 8 years in traditional guarding, Brian joined Raytheon BBN Technologies as a security specialist where he worked for 2 years before moving to his current role.
In 2021, Brian received the PSP certification from ASIS International and in 2024 he received the ISP certification from NCMS. In his free time, he is an avid soccer fan, supporting Juventus in the Serie A, and a musician who plays piano and drums. Brian’s wife is also an FSO and they live in Lexington with their cat.
