Event Security Panel Discussion and TD Garden Tour
This event will include keynote presentations by speakers: John Joines, Senior Dir. of Security for TD Garden, Jim Mayall, VP of Security & Logistics for the Boston Celtics, and Asa Hutchinson, Former Arkansas Gov, Former Undersecretary of Homeland Security for Border & Transportation Security, Former Administrator of the DEA .
The speakers will share insights into the complex security operations of this major sports and entertainment venue, in addition to Gov. Hutchinson providing an overview of the current security threat landscape for the United States. Attendees will gain a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the security measures in place for the Garden, which hosts over 3.5 million visitors annually. A guided tour of the security control center at TD Garden will also be included.
The luncheon will be held in “Legends” at TD Garden. Parking in the North Station garage below TD Garden is included in the registration. There is a limit of 60 seats for this chapter luncheon meeting. Reservations will be on a first come first serve basis. John Joines, Senior Director of Security for TD Garden
John has over 20 years of experience in large venue safety and security with a focus on moving large groups of people through ingress and egress. John will be presenting on emerging technologies and techniques for safe and efficient ingress at large venues and sporting events.
Jim Mayall, Vice President Security & Logistics for the Boston Celtics
Jim has had a 30 year career in the Entertainment and Sports Security industry. Jim will present on working with and securing professional athletes in today’s changing Security climate.
Asa Hutchinson, Former Governor of Arkansas, Former Undersecretary of Homeland Security for Border & Transportation Security, Former Administrator of the DEA
Asa has a career of public service spanning over 4 decades. Asa will present on the history of DHS and the current landscape of security issues facing the United States across the country.
