Ryan Chaffee, Special Agent
For over twenty years, Ryan Chaffee has served as a police officer, a deputy sheriff, and as a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) before moving to the Department of Defense, Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS).
While at HSI, Special Agent Chaffee primarily worked counterproliferation cases before developing the Darknet/Cryptocurrency Investigations program. In addition to his investigative responsibilities there, Special Agent Chaffee was HSI Boston’s sole liaison to the Intelligence Community and was a member of the Special Response Team (SRT).
Now with DCIS, he regularly travels around the country and internationally to speak about investigative techniques and counterproliferation investigations.
