Join us for a 50 minute presentation and 10 minute Q&A, providing an overview of good communication practices with an emphasis on how to create interactive understandings. 1 CPE education credit will be issued upon completion; certificate will be emailed.
"Shared Understanding" is defined as an "individual and collective ownership of a new perspective accepted by the group". Mutual agreement requires mutual understanding. Clarity in communication is the key to any relationship, and communicating clearly is a daily work in progress.
Everyone has had conversations where one of the participants misinterpreted what the other person or group actually said, leading to unintended consequences. This presentation will assist the participants to understand the importance of developing the capacity to explain their perspective and to interpret the perspective of others with sufficient empathy to reach the goal of "Shared Understanding".
