Chapter Luncheon / TD Garden Tour
The first Boston chapter meeting of 2019 will be a luncheon on February 6th from 11:30am to 2:00pm at TD Garden. Our speaker will be Richard Teahan, Director of Security for TD Garden where over 3.5 million guests visit each year. Richard will give a “behind the scenes” look at the security program for one of the premier sports and entertainment facilities in the nation. He will also discuss the procedures for security, including pedestrian and vehicles access, for nationally televised events at the TD Garden. He will review the preparations to expand the security program for the impending opening of three new buildings on the property which house a class A office building, a residential complex, movie theater, nightclub, and supermarket. A tour of TD Garden including the security control center will immediately follow Richard’s presentation.
The luncheon will be held in “Legends” at TD Garden. Parking in the North Station garage below TD Garden is included in the registration. There is a limit of 60 seats for this chapter luncheon meeting. Reservations will be on a first come first serve basis. So, register early and don’t miss out on this exclusive behind the scenes look at an iconic institution and what it takes to ensure the safety and security of the facility and the event attendees.
Richard Teahan had 27 distinguished years of service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the New Haven CN, Washington DC, and Boston offices. He has an extensive background in high risk, complex, government, and private sector environments. He is experienced in security, foreign liaison, risk assessments, counter terrorism, and criminal investigations, as well as experience in complicated fugitive cases, and cross agency intelligence sharing. Richard has been in his current role at TD Garden for the past two years.
