The Company Man: A Story of Economic Espionage
Special Agent (SA) Carmine Nigro of the FBI will be discussing economic espionage. The movie The Company Man is based on a recent FBI investigation in which a US company was the victim of the theft of trade secrets. SA Nigro will review the training received by the FBI and will also present on best practices on IP Protection.

Special Agent (SA) Carmine Nigro
Special Agent (SA) Carmine Nigro has been employed with the FBI for approximately 28 years.
In December 1987, he entered on duty with the FBI as a Special Agent. Prior to his transferred to Boston, Agent Nigro was assigned to Houston, New York, Rome, Italy, and FBI Headquarters in D.C.
In May 2000, Agent Nigro was transferred to the FBI Boston Division. During the first 7 years in Boston, Agent Nigro supervised two squads. A Special Operations Group for 4 years (2000 – 2004) and then a Field Intelligence Group for 3 years (2004 – 2007).
In February 2008, SA Nigro was designated as the Counterintelligence (CI) Strategic Partnership Coordinator for the FBI Boston Division. He has been in the current coordinator’s position for over 7 years.
