Chairperson Welcome
2026 Chapter Chair Welcome Message
Boston ASIS Chapter Members
On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my distinct honor and privilege, as Chair of our chapter to welcome you to our professional community.
First and foremost, thank you for your continued dedication and commitment to this organization. We are fortunate to have an exceptional group of professionals who are eager to make a difference and continue elevating the Greater Boston security community as a premier place to work, learn, and connect.
I am incredibly honored and excited to lead the ASIS International Boston Chapter again this year alongside our outstanding elected board members: Mark Beaudry (Vice Chair), Marie Newton (Secretary), and Matt Gagnon, PSP (Treasurer). Together, we are focused on building momentum and expanding opportunities for our membership.
Our Focus for the Year
Our goal this year is to further expand the security landscape across Greater Boston by:
-
Welcome new student members and industry leaders through our Young Professionals (YP) community.
-
Grow our chapter membership base.
-
Provide meaningful training, networking, and professional development opportunities for the Greater Boston security industry as a whole.
We encourage you to attend a meeting, bring a colleague or friend, and continue expanding your professional network.
New Initiatives for 2026
-
Education Day: We are planning to host an Education Day this fall to drive learning, certification support, and professional growth opportunities for our members.
-
Event Mix: We will continue offering a mix of virtual, in-person, and social events. This balanced approach has helped us engage a broader segment of our membership and increase overall participation.

Website Enhancements: Our website improvements continue this year, with several exciting updates:
-
A Member Login feature allowing you to save payment methods and build out your professional profile for fellow members to view and connect with.

Our Job Board is now live! If you are hiring or seeking new opportunities, we encourage you to utilize this platform.
-
We have launched an active chapter blog and are looking for strong member contributions. We welcome informational, non-sales thought leadership articles and insights on current “hot topics” impacting our industry. We have tremendous expertise within this chapter and we want to hear from YOU!

Volunteer Opportunities: We are actively seeking additional committee chairs and volunteers. If you are interested in taking on a leadership role or contributing in a meaningful way, please reach out.
This chapter thrives because of the dedication and volunteer spirit of its members. I encourage you to get involved, attend meetings, join a committee, share your expertise, and help us shape the future of security in our region.
Together, we are not only advancing our profession, but also reinforcing the critical role security plays in business continuity, public safety, and organizational success.
Thank you for being part of our ASIS community. I look forward to working alongside you and building an even stronger chapter together.
With appreciation and respect,
Kelsey Carnell
