Major Dermot Quinn
Massachusetts State Police, Commanding Officer of the Criminal Information Section and the Commonwealth Fusion Center

Dermot Quinn is a Major with the Massachusetts State Police currently assigned as the Commanding Officer of the Criminal Information Section and the Commonwealth Fusion Center. Throughout his 30 year career, he has served in assignments in Field Services, Administrative Services, and for the past 18 years, in the Division of Investigative Services. Major Quinn attended the University of Massachusetts at Lowell where he received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Criminal Justice and an MS in Mathematics (Computer Option).

As a Deputy Division Commander, Major Quinn has focused much effort on increasing the sharing of criminal information among law enforcement agencies not only in Massachusetts but across the New England region through the implementation of several regional crime databases and by partnering with the New England High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program and the New England State Police Information Network. Major Quinn also oversees the anti-terrorism efforts of the Massachusetts State Police, which, among other criminal investigatory duties, maintains a strong presence on the Massachusetts JTTF.
